Gene:

sigE

Organism:

Bacillus subtilis (strain 168)

Synonyms:

spoIIGB

Uniprot:
Biological function:

Sigma factors are initiation factors that promote the attachment of RNA polymerase to specific initiation sites and are then released. This sigma factor is responsible for the expression of sporulation specific genesgo to UniProt

PDB chain with highest data quality, coverage and best resolution This viewer shows non-overlapping chains from PDB entries with the highest number of observed residues for various regions of the UniProt protein sequence.

Use the arrows or click on the blue segments at the bottom to navigate between representative chains from different PDB entries for different regions of the sequence.

Observed regions are darker shades, while unobserved regions are slightly transparent.
