Microeukaryotes play essential roles in the rhizosphere as pathogens, symbionts, and bacterial predators. However, the factors controlling the rhizosphere microeukaryotic community are less known. This study explored the impact of genetic diversity on the microeukaryotic community in the rice rhizosphere through amplicon sequencing of 18S rRNA genes of rice roots of different varieties.
