Chrysotila carterae NIES-4509 is a transformable marine coccolithophore and preserved in National Institute for Environmental Studies, Japan. The draft genome of this strain was analyzed by PacBio. One of the goal of this study is to understand cellular physiology of the marine haptophytes.
