A tritrophic association was reported in the present paper, involving a cicada nymphs (Homoptera: Cicadidae) infected wby Isaria cicadae, which was infected in turn by Syspastospora parasitica. Morphorlogical obversation and molecular identification both support this identification. The results of Koch's method showed that the mycoparasite isolate had a wide range host fungi beside Isaria cicadae, including Isaria tenuipes, Beauveria bassianan and a Beauveria sp..
