Staphylococci are a dominant cause of neonatal sepsis in low-middle income countries. Although BARNARDS began with the exploration of all Gram-negative bacteria and S. aureus, we recorded other Staphylococci species causing neonatal sepsis and retrospectively aimed to collect data, and where possible, isolates to perform microbiology and whole genome sequencing. 1266 Gram-positive sepsis isolates recovered. In total, 271 isolates were identified as Staphylococci species with 102 being Staphylococci aureus
