Cystyc hydatid disease is a human health disease caused by a complex of genetic variants of Echinococcus granulosus sensu lato: Echinococcus granulosus (G1/G2/G3), Echinocuccus equinus (G4), Echinococcus ortleppi (G5) and Echinococcus canadensis (G6/G7/G8/G9/G10) . Particularly Echinococcus canadensis G7 genotype have been shown to differ in the rate of development in the definitive host respect to Echinococcus granulosus G1 genotype. However, very little is known about the factors that determine its host specificity or developmental differences. Recently, inability of E. canadensis G7 protoescolex to establish infection in murine model was demonstrated by us. Besides its biological and public health importance no genome-wide data have yet been published for Echinococcus candensis (G7 genotype) . We present the high quality Echinococcus candensis (G7 genotype) genome Illumina Miseq NGS reads and functional annotation supported by Ilumina RNA-seq data.
