We generated an Smpd3 deletion mouse via CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing. The mouse mutants exhibit severe skeletal abnormalities and perinatal lethality. We performed whole genome sequencing to confirm that there was a large deletion in Smpd3 and no other structural variants induced by editing to chromosome 8.
