The main goal of this study is to precisely determine the taxonomic identity of Pseudomonas sp. NT2, a strain that did not correspond to any Pseudomonas species known so far. This isolate constitutes an interesting model to study the mechanisms of stomatal immunity modulation by beneficial endophytic bacteria. Additionally, this isolate demonstrates other notable characteristics, including antagonism against Botrytis cinerea and Pseudomonas syringae both in vitro and in planta, as well as phosphate solubilization and siderophore production.
