The species name has not yet been validly published. A soil saprobe (growing as mycelium) endemic to Latin America and infecting warm-blooded animals (growing as a yeast from). The fungus affect humans (primary infection site is the lung epithelium) that are working in close contact with the soil in the countryside or in recently deforested sites.
