Hahella chejuensis. This organism was isolated from marine sediment from Cheju Island, Republic of Korea. Hahella chejuensis is a slight halophile with an optimum salinity of 2%. This organism produces a large amount of exopolysaccharide, which has potential as an emulsification agent.
