Frankia sp. EuI1c. Frankia sp. EuI1c was isolated from the Autumn olive, Elaeagnus umbellata but does not form a nitrogen-fixing symbiosis. Frankia sp. EuI1c produces spores that can be germinated in a laboratory setting making it amenable to genetic analysis.
