Thirty Illumina RNA-seq libraries were sequenced for each of the six experimental conditions (using 4-6 biological replicates each): scales sampled 1 day after injection with coconut oil implants of estradiol (E1d), genistein (Gen1d) or with coconut oil alone (control, C1d) and scales sampled after 5 days with these treatments (C5d, E5d and Gen5d, respectively).
