Jatropha curcas is a monoecious palnt, and the sex differentiation of it has been studied by several studies. To further study the ovule development, a transcriptome covering the whole development process of pollen in male and ovule in female was constructed using Illumina sequencing, and gene expression profiles of flower buds at different development stages of ovule were also constructed.
