UNQLp 11 isolate was obtained from Pinot noir wine samples from a 2012 vintage from a commercial cellar in General Roca, Río Negro, Argentinean North Patagonia, in which alcoholic fermentation (AF) and MLF were spontaneous. This isolation was selected for its positive enological characteristics at laboratory scale.
