Xylella fastidiosa subsp. multiplex is a quarantine plant pathogenic bacterium disseminated across the Americas and currently described in several European countries. After whole-genome sequencing using Illumina Hiseq the French emergence of Xfm was studied and dated in comparison with American strains.
