This project presents an novel data to systematically reveal biofilm structure transformation and the associate bulk water quality variation after switching to quality-improved water. Biofilm niches (including biofilm morphology, microbial community transition and Metagenomics functional prediction) reveal the difference between pipe materials resistant to water quality perturbation and present an insight into mechanism of biostability under water source switching.
