The intestines of animals are extremely rich in microbial ecosystems. The results of numerous studies in different fields, such as epidemiology and histology, have revealed that microorganisms in the gut mediate the survival and reproduction of animals to a considerable extent. However, studies on the gut microbiology of wild cranes with a homogeneous distribution are still relatively rare. To understand the structural composition of the gut microbial community of wild cranes and the possible functions of microorganisms. In this study, we used high-throughput sequencing to analyze the gut microbial community structure of wild cranes in Zalong Nature Reserve.
