The primary olfactory tissues of adult and larval stages of the important fruit pest species Drosophila suzukii (spotted wing drosophila) have been studied for the characterization of gene expression profiles of chemonsensory receptor genes, including the odorant receptors. These results will provide important insights into olfactory guided behaviors of the spotted wing drosophila, which are critical elements of survival.
