Here we describe the community composition, structure, abundance of sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) in the relationship of sulfate-reducing rate, concentration and mass flow of TSS/VSS, sulfate, sulfur (solid), and Fe (solid) in four anaerobic sludge samples of Dalseochon - industrial and Seobu wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). The Dalseochon-industrial sludge samples, which served as an experiment, received effluent from Daegu Dyeing Industrial Center that contains a significant amount of sulphate and were compared with Seobu WWTPs as a control system. There were three samples of primary, activated secondary and anaerobically digested sludge collected from Dalseochon-industrial WWTP and one sample of anaerobically digested sludge from Seobu WWTP. Communities of SRB in anaerobic sludge samples were studied using amplification and Illumina sequencing of dissimilatory sulfite reductase beta subunit (dsrB) gene fragments. The outcomes demonstrated that similar dynamic conditions between the two sampling stations may have contributed to the same community structure of SRB in the Dalseochon-industrial WWTP primary sludge (Ind_PS-3) and Seobu WWTP anaerobically digested sludge samples (Ind_ASS-4) revealed by UPGMA clustering analysis.
