We collected a female king cobra in Guilin, Guangxi. Based on this sample, we obtained a highly continuous cobra genome with a genome size of 1.58Gb. The repeat content in the genome is 40.53%, and the total length is more than 640Mb. A total of 25537 functional genes were annotated. This study is helpful to the development of king cobra venom serum and the protection and utilization of genetic diversity of biological resources.
