Carlavirus nucleic acid-binding protein
InterPro entry
Short name | Carla-bd |
Description
This family of carlavirus nucleic acid binding proteins includes a motif for a potential C-4 type zinc finger this has four highly conserved cysteine residues and is a conserved feature of the carlaviruses 3' terminal ORF
[1]. These proteins may function as viral transcriptional regulators. The carlavirus family includes Garlic latent virus and Potato virus S and Potato virus M, these viruses are positive strand, ssRNA with no DNA stage.
