Description
Taste receptor type 2 member 38 (TAS2R38), a member of the G-protein-coupled bitter receptor family, is the bitter taste receptor responsible for the ability to taste phenylthiocarbamide (PTC)
[1, 3]. This protein also has a crucial role in neutrophil-mediated host immunity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection in mice
