Gamma-tubulin complex, C-terminal domain

CATH-Gene3D entry
Member databaseCATH-Gene3D
CATH-Gene3D typehomologous superfamily

Description
Imported from IPR042241

This superfamily covers families of proteins all derived via gene-duplication events that act together in the gamma-tubulin complex. This complex is required for microtubule nucleation at the centrosome. The C-terminal domain is involved in the binding of gamma-tubulin, demonstrated by in vitro and deletion experiments with GCP4 (gamma-tubulin complex protein 4)
