Description
This domain family is found in eukaryotes, and is approximately 40 amino acids in length. The family is found in association with Pfam:PF00046, Pfam:PF00292. Pax7 belongs to a family of genes that encode paired-box-containing transcription factors involved in the control of developmental processes. Pax7 has a distinct role in the specification of myogenic satellite cells.
