The table below details the official group names and species designations included in the IPD-MHC database. The table lists the MHC group, current official designation, common and scientific name, as well as a taxonomy ID identifying the organism. The official designations are assigned by the Comparitive MHC Nomenclature Committee as established by the International Society for Animal Genetics (ISAG) who are affiliated to the International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS) - Veterinary Immunology Committee (VIC).
