Recorded webinar
Single-cell and spatial omics technologies in plant science
Recent technological advances in single-cell and spatial omics have revolutionised how we study biology by enabling researchers to see what used to be hidden behind the heterogeneity within the tissue. Such technologies have been readily applied to study plants recently.
This webinar will showcase the application of single-cell multiomics (transcriptome and epigenome) and spatial transcriptomics in plant research, focusing on the development of a plant cell atlas and the understanding of plant-microbe interactions.
Who is this course for?
This webinar is suitable for anyone interested in plant sciences, and application of single-cell and spatial omics technologies. No prior knowledge of bioinformatics is required, but undergraduate level knowledge of biology would be useful.
This event is part of a webinar series highlighting the current concepts and analytical methods in plant sciences applicable to research, data management, and crop improvement. To explore other topics from this series and registration details follow this link Plants: a data sciences perspective.
Outcomes
By the end of the webinar, you will be able to:
- Choose appropriate single-cell technologies for your research question
- Explore single-cell transcriptome, epigenome, and spatial transcriptome data
