Proteins are involved in all aspects of life. They maintain life, and when they go wrong can cause disease. Of course, it’s not just true for humans, the bugs which make us ill are also made of proteins, many of which are responsible for them infecting us, and are potential targets for drugs to treat that infection.

Our 2017 calendar features artwork, produced by a variety of scientists and artists and is inspired by the proteins connected with health and disease in developing countries.
